I Must Confess... My Musical Tastes

Time to share my musical tastes with the world.

The lovely Kirsty of My Home Truths mentioned the word eclectic, and yes that is definitely my taste in music too.

I love music. It is something so powerful. It stirs emotions and feelings deep down in your soul. It has the ability to make your cry, make you laugh, lift you up and make you soar. It inspires you to do your best, to pick yourself up and carry on.

My favourite music is probably Rock. I love the old style rockers like Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin.

I love music from the 70s and 80s.

But there are times when I am in the mood for pop music.

Opera and Classical have their place too.

I love folk music. Especially Irish Folk music.

I love Jazz and Blues and Soul.

  1. You certainly do have eclectic tastes in music! Nice variety there. My hubby loves Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple, so we are in the same decade but opposite styles with me loving Carpenters lol

    1. I love the Carpenters! Karen had an amazing voice. Their songs always make me sad though.

  2. I love Led Zeppelin! There was an awesome interview on 60 Minutes about 2 weeks ago with Liz Hayes interviewing Robert Plant. He's still got "it" in psades even though he must be at least mid 60's by now!!

  4. I think it's fun and important to have an eclectic taste in music. There are good and bad examples of just about every genre I reckon - and talented musicians singing the worst songs and vice versa! I'm not a classic rock fan though, but I've blogged about Duran Duran more than is probably good for me. It's good to get these things of your chest sometimes! #FYBF :)
