Kicking My Bucket List

There is a lot of talk these days about bucket lists. Events on the timeline of your life, that you can mentally tick off; say now that’s done, and move on to the next item on the list.

Do you have bucket list? If you do how are you going with it?

I don't really have a bucket list as such. What I want to do changes constantly from one year to the next, depending on what course in life I am taking and what is interesting me at the time.

Linking up with two lovely ladies today.

Kirsty from My Home Truths for I Must Confess.... My Bucket List and

Deb from Home Life Simplified for Listmania Reverse Bucket List.

My reverse bucket list

Born in Liberia, a small country on the west coast of Africa.

Went on the Fairstar Cruise ship from Southampton, England to Fremantle, Western Australia.

Went to the magnificent Karri Forests in Pemberton, Western Australia.

Bungi jumped.

Went on two trips to New Zealand.

Touched a glacier.

Saw the Pope in Vatican City.

Saw the crown jewels in the Tower of London.

Saw the Eiffel Tower.

Saw the white cliffs of Dover.

Saw Stonehenge.

Saw the Colosseum.

Gave birth to four amazing children.

Still to do on my bucket list

Ride an elephant.

Write a children’s book.

Go to Tasmania.

Ride in a helicopter.

and probably a million and one other things, if I had the time to write them all down.

  1. Tasmania and a helicopter are both on my list too - both things I actually think I will get to do!

would love to touch a glacier - how cool was that?

  2. Great list lovely, I have been to Tasmania, it is lovely, I hope you get there soon. I don't really have much of a bucket list, though Mr A and I have started planning a bit of a drive around the country next year so that should be fun.

  3. Riding an elephant would be such an adventure, wouldn't it? And I love some of the things you have already achieved in your travels - you have a great reverse bucket list there Mel! Thanks again for linking up to I Must Confess.

  6. Í LOVE the idea of a 'Reverse Bucket List'!!
We spend far too much time focusing on the things we've not accomplished, but forget too easily all we have already achieved :D

  7. I love this post. I have several bucket lists - is that ADHD or OCD or some other acronym? Loved that you listed "Ride an Elephant". While I have managed to do that - "Ride a Camel" is on my list.
